AI software-engineering startup Factory has rolled out a redesigned Analytics suite for its autonomous coding agents, known as Droids. Available now for Business and Enterprise tier customers, the update introduces granular tracking of credit consumption, model distribution, and user activity across all sessions. This allows organizations to monitor active users through metrics like daily, weekly, and monthly active users, alongside session counts, messages, tool calls, and overall platform stickiness.

Because a single coding agent session often triggers a complex sequence of model requests, tool calls, and retries, traditional seat-based pricing fails to reflect actual operational costs. Factory's new dashboard addresses this by breaking down credit usage over time and mapping it to specific models and individual users. A new Cost Concentration chart helps administrators identify whether a small group of power users or automated workflows is driving the bulk of their spending, bringing cloud FinOps discipline to AI agent deployments.

The suite also highlights the performance of the Factory Router, an automated model-selection tool. Factory claims this router reduces aggregate production costs by 63% compared to standard frontier-model rates, while maintaining equivalent performance levels. To help administrators manage these expenses, the platform pairs these analytics with Enterprise Controls, which let managers set centralized model defaults and policies to curb inconsistent model selection.

For deeper analysis, an Analytics API is included to export user- and model-level data directly into external business intelligence and finance pipelines. Founded in 2023 by Matan Grinberg and Eno Reyes, Factory recently raised a $150 million Series C round led by Khosla Ventures at a $1.5 billion valuation. Its Droids are currently used by major enterprises including NVIDIA, Adobe, EY, Palo Alto Networks, and Adyen, all of which can now access the new dashboard via their profile menus.
